The Parish Council have determined that a stone shelter will be constructed on the Playing Fields. The Council are sending out tenders to a number of local builders.
There are a number of villagers that feel money should be saved by having a work gang of villagers to build this themselves.
if there is sufficient support and the Council approves "our" tender at their March meeting we would hope to start work in spring.
This noble band of Shiptoites is guided by Steve Larcombe and managed by Tom Grace. Currently there are about ten volunteers but we need every each one of you man and boy. Even better if you have bricklaying experience or roofing knowledge.
