Village Society Objectives
1. To organise as wide a range of activities as is practicable for the enjoyment and welfare of Shipton Gorge residents of all ages, and of such other persons and organisations as the Committee shall decide.
2. To foster the rural character of the Parish and its amenities and to co-operate with other organisations having similar objectives.
3. To raise funds, which may be used by the Committee to provide, support and assist any project as will benefit the Community and further the objectives of the Society.
Repeat Prescription Service
Take your prescription to the New Inn by 1.00 pm on a Thursday and it will be delivered to your home by Boots the following Thursday. For more information contact Sandra on 01308 897302
Special Occasions
The Society would very much like to celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversaries and 100 year old birthdays with residents of Shipton Gorge. If someone in your family is due to reach one of these milestones we would be pleased to mark it with a card and a small gift. Please let any of us know!
Wheelchair Loan
SGVS has aquired an almost new and very compact wheelchair which we would like to make available on loan to villagers who may have visitors who could use it on a temporary basis during their stay. Please contact John Kent (897574), Sally Parker (897168) or Ed Buck (898278) for further details.
